Focus Freight Ops is a software system, designed to facilitate the control and management
of Freight Forwarding Operations for both road and sea. It is designed in close
consultation with leading members in the freight forwarding industry. Focus Freight
Operations therefore reflects the need for a system which does more than simply
automate routine administrative procedures - but which is able to squeeze additional
levels of profitability and service quality from freight forwarders that have to
contend with fierce competition. |

Focus Freight Operations functionality and user interfaces reflect local terminology
and the realities of day-to-day freight forwarding. In addition and crucially, it
provides appropriate and accurate management controls of the freight forwarder's
fleet of trucks and trailers. It supports the recording of both direct and indirect
costs sustained by the truck and the driver. It is therefore possible to evaluate
the current performance of a consignment, customer, shipment, driver, truck or trip
and identify areas where improvements can be made. |

Powerful diary functions allow Focus Freight Operations to help track the flow of
a consignment and trace its location and its supporting documentation, enabling
a freight forwarder to offer its customers better service. Access to up-to-the-minute
information projects a professional image and allows the freight forwarder to respond
to new business opportunities and demands as they arise.
Few freight forwarders operate in the same way. Apart from a wide variety of goods
that may be moved, mode of transport and additional services offered can vary enormously.
Focus Freight Operations allows considerable scope for flexibility so that users
may define the parameters required for their specific operation. Flexible rates
setup and discounting structures are built in together with intelligent categorisation
of key and prospective customers, adopting the most appropriate rate structure necessary.
Business alliances with other agencies are also supported and in a bi-directional
fashion, with incoming invoices being taken as costs and outgoing invoices to such
agencies as revenues.
